TPI Certified Golf Assessment

What is the Titleist Performance Institute?

TPI (Titleist Performance Institute) is the world's leading educational organization dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in

TPI Golf Assessment

relation to the golf swing. For over twenty years, TPI has gathered the world’s largest technical database of the game’s top Tour professionals as well as every-day golfers. TPI collects 3D motion capture, force, pressure, launch monitor, strength, power, and movement data on every player that visits the TPI campus. Using this data, TPI discovered how a properly functioning body allows a player to swing a golf club in the most efficient way possible.

TPI’s Physical Assessment

If you don’t assess, it’s just a guess.

The TPI movement screen is a series of tests to evaluate a player’s physical capabilities. The results of that assessment are used to determine how technical elements of the player’s swing could be related to what their body can or cannot do. Once this screen is finished, the results are used to create a plan unique for that golfer.

What An Appointment Will Look Like

● At least 24 hours before the appointment send in a video of your swing from a face on and down the line view.

● Once you get to Active Health and Wellness Clinic we will discuss your goals and health history and then go through the TPI 16-part standardized physical assessment to help determine whether physical limitations are influencing your swing mechanics, power production, or injury risk.

● We will then compare the findings in the TPI assessment to the video footage of your golf swing that you sent in to confirm if the results we

see physically are impacting your golf swing. We will discuss these findings in relation to your golf improvement goals to make sure our care plan aligns with your intention.

● We will then give a recommendation of either how to build a swing that compensates for any limitations you may have, or begin improving the limitation itself, so you can move and swing optimally in your body.

● These physical limitations are often improved by hands-on therapy with an integration of chiropractic treatment, mobility, and stability work. Since no two people and swings are the same, this will vary.

● Lastly, we will discuss your future care recommendations and send you a personalized mobility and corrective exercise routine to do at home, allowing you to continue working on the key aspects that will help you play this great game at the highest level.
